Plugins
Atomic Email Hunter supports plugins technology. It means that you can expand the program functionality by using plugins The program distribution package has three free plugins.
By default, the plugins can be found in menubar “Search” / “Plugins” . Here is the short review of the built-in avaliable plugins:
Yahoo People Search:
People Search plugin uses “Yahoo! People Search” and finds the personal e-mail addresses by first and last name of the users. Enter the first and/or last name and the program will scan the web for the users’ e-mail addresses.
Usenet e-mail search:
This plugins connects to the specified newsgroups. You can check one or more groups for extracting e-mail addresses from the recent postings. You can also use more powerful application to search e-mail addresses in any news servers – Atomic Newsgroups Explorer.
DMOZ Directory:
This plugin is made to process the sites from the specified DMOZ category (dmoz.org). How to use it:
- Go to the Open Directory (dmoz catologue);
- Select a category there;
- Copy the URL address of the category;
- Paste the URL address to the plug-in input string;
- Press on the “Extract links from category” button;
- Review the results (add or edit some items) and press “Extract e-mail addresses” to start harvesting.
Additionally, Atomic Email Hunter has a built-in Mailbox plugin to extract emails from Gmail, Hotmail and other ESPs (email service providers). This plugin scans your email account and collects all available email addresses of your correspondents, and those mentioned in the email message content.
